After you pay the dollar toll, stay in the right lane and follow the signs to Cambridge. Cross the river in the left lane and turn left on Memorial Drive. Follow Mem. Drive past the turn for Harvard Square to where a right turn curves around to the right, after a small park and Mount Auburn Hospital; the signs will say Route 2 and 3, and probably Alewife Brook Parkway. After the turn, bear right. You'll pass Mt. Auburn Street and Brattle Street, both big streets on the right, and then at a light you'll come to Huron Avenue (overhead trolley wires still there, I think; traffic light). Turn right on Huron Avenue and go to the very end, a 'T,' and turn left there on Raymond Street. We are a block ahead at the intersection of Raymond Street and Upland Road, across from the park.
Come down Route 495 or 128 to Route 2 east to the Alewife traffic circle. Bear right on Route 2 past the Fresh Pond shopping center. Go more than halfway around the first traffic circle so that Fresh Pond is on your right and commercial stuff on your left. Go more than halfway around the second traffic circle to Concord Avenue so that Fresh Pond Gas is on your right. Follow Concord to the SECOND intersection with a gas station on the left and a traffic light. Turn left on Huron Avenue and go to the very end, a 'T,' and turn left there on Raymond Street. We are a block ahead at the intersection of Raymond Street and Upland Road, across from the park.
Head up Mass Ave from Harvard Square to Porter Square. Turn left onto Upland Road between a White Hen Pantry and Bruegger’s Bagels, across from the T stop. We are 0.4 miles down Upland, on the right, at the intersection of Raymond and Upland Road just before the park.
Red Line to Porter Square. When you come up the last escalator, exit the station straight ahead, cross Mass Ave, and follow the right side of Upland Road past Bruegger’s Bagels. We are 0.4 miles down Upland, on the right, at the intersection of Raymond and Upland Road, just before the park.
From the Coop, head up Mass Ave to turn left on Garden Street, before the Cambridge Common. Follow Garden past its intersection with Concord Avenue (bear right), past Hilles Library and the Radcliffe quad (out of sight) on the right to turn right on Linnaean Street at a light. The first left is Raymond Street; follow it to the intersection of Raymond and Upland Road. We are on the far side on the right, across from the park.
